Mike Niehuser

Mike Niehuser is the founder of Beacon Rock Research, LLC., SLB Equity Research, LLC., and The Colonel John Boyd Memorial Scholarship, Inc. Formerly, Mike was a Vice President and Senior Equity Analyst with the Robins Group, LLC, a registered broker dealer. Mike was employed by U.S. Bank for 18 years as a lender with expertise in all areas of real estate lending and valuation. He graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in 1998 and successfully transitioned into investment research to become the RedChip Review's bank analyst from 2000 to 2003. Mike has written hundreds of research reports and related articles on investing in small cap companies. He is a generalist with expertise in recognizing value in under-followed companies in a wide variety of sectors.

Mike joined the faculty of the Pacific Coast Banking School in 2005, following his participation as an Alumni Associate Director and Grader. Mike also served as an elected school board member, serving ten years in Oregon’s fourth largest school district. Mike considers himself to be an example of the life-long learner, graduating from the University of Oregon with a BS in Finance and is currently preparing for the 2006 Level III CFA exam. He currently holds NASD Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses.

Mark S. Corcoran, CFA, is the Director of Research and Founder of Small Cap Analytics. Mr. Corcoran has extensive experience with small cap stock analysis and portfolio construction, ranging from work as a small cap equity analyst to managing the recommendations of equity investments worth over $2.5 billion at investment firms such as D.A. Davidson & Co., Chinook Capital Management and the Red Chip Review. He has interviewed in excess of 300 management teams and has published research on over 150 publicly-traded companies in the technology, health care, industrial, consumer, and financial industries.

Mr. Corcoran graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in International Affairs, has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and serves on the Board of Directors for the Portland Society of Financial Analysts. He is also a guest lecturer at Portland State University’s School of Business Administration and is an adjunct graduate finance instructor at City University.

Mr. Corcoran has been quoted extensively in the financial press, including CNBC, Investors Business Daily, Money Magazine, The Washington Post, Barron’s, The Boston Globe, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Baltimore Sun, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Street.com, Red Herring, Bloomberg, Reuters, Dow Jones and Individual Investor.

David E. Archibald, CFA joined Reed Global Advisors, LLC in April 2005 as the Director of Research. Mr. Archibald previously served as a Director and Senior Vice President of Crown Point Group Ltd. and as Principal and Director of Research of its subsidiary broker/dealer, The Robins Group LLC. Mr. Archibald joined Crown Point Group in November of 2002 after serving as Managing Director of Research and VP of the RedChip Review. He also was responsible for day-to-day operations of RedChip companies in his capacity as General Manager and oversaw all compliance protocols. In addition he served as Branch Manager of the Portland office for Digital Offering, a broker-dealer subsidiary of Red Chip Companies, LLC. Prior to joining the RedChip Review, Mr. Archibald was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President for US Trust Company, N.A. where he managed both taxable and not-taxable equity and fixed income portfolios for ERISA, high net worth and charitable clients. Mr. Archibald previously was employed as a Bond Manager and Equity Analyst for The Crabbe-Huson Company, Trust Investment Manager for WestOne Bank, Trust Investment Officer and Equity Analyst for Oregon Bank and as an economic consultant for A. B. Laffer Associates. Mr. Archibald graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1978 with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics. He currently holds NASD Series 7, 24, 63, 86 and 87.

William H. (Buzz) O’Brien has spent more than 25 years in the investment banking industry in a variety of different roles. His focus has been on small and micro cap public companies, and private companies in the venture capital arena. Buzz followed his early years at IBM with stints at Blyth Eastman Dillon, Paine Webber (UBS), Kidder Peabody and Smith Barney. His industry focus has been on natural resource companies and firms in the financial services industry.

The second half of his career has been working in the independent research arena with public companies that are under followed and under owned by institutional investors. He has spent more than twenty years assisting companies in the public and private marketplace raise capital and rationalize their strategic focus. He has also co-founded and assisted with the start up of several high technology and biotech companies as well as several investment banking and research firms. Some of these would include Twenty First Century Communications, Clickgarden.com, Novactyl Inc., The Robins Group and Beacon Rock Research.

Mr. O’Brien graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelors degree in Economics. He completed his graduate work at Washington University in St. Louis with additional study in international economics at Harvard University, Oxford University the University of Missouri and St. Louis University.
